Requirements for Canadian RNs
Under new rules effective September 23, 2003 foreign-educated
healthcare professionals (such as nurses) who are seeking temporary
or permanent occupational visas as well as those who are seeking NAFTA
status, are required to first obtain a CGFNS/ICHP VisaScreen certificate
as part of the visa process. Prior to this new rule, only those
healthcare professionals seeking permanent occupational visas were required
to obtain a CGFNS/ICHP VisaScreen certificate....
